Christmas was here and gone in a flash! Lots of fun as always! Although... I am ready to hibernate through January!

THANKSGIVING

We had a great Thanksgiving! We celebrated down in Mississippi with my family and we had a great time. My dad smoked a turkey and fried a turkey and it was de-lish! We also had the rest of the family usuals. After lunch, we shot skeet and rode S&S on the four-wheeler.

 

We have so much to be thankful for this year!

WEDDING WEEKEND

 We had a great time in Santa Barbara at Lynn's sister's wedding! Not only were we celebrating Brittany and Blake, Lynn and I celebrated our five year anniversary on the very same day! Can not believe that it has been 5 years. It was, also,  the first time that we have left the girls, so it was a little wierd being somewhere... just relaxing, enjoying a beautiful cottage at the Four Seasons, great food, dancing... you would think that we wouldn't want to leave, but we changed our flight to come home a day early. I know! Crazy! But I must admit, life just isn't right without them!

Birthday Girls!

Wednesday marks a huge milestone for us.... S&S are turning 1!! We celebrated the whole weekend with a birthday party at our house on Saturday and then down at my parents on Sunday! It was a crazy busy weekend. Needless to say we are exhausted...
Hot air balloons was our theme ~ Sadie and Sophie's First Year Flew By! Sort of carnival-ish with hot dogs, slider hamburgers, Parmesian french fries, peanuts and popcorn. I had so much fun planning the party and it turned out successful! Here are a few pics from the weekend.

a few regrets.... i didn't get enough pictures! And for some reason half of the ones that I did get turned out blurry. I should have made a list of "must have" pictures like S&S sitting closer to the cake, or at least some close-ups of them together, and a family picture with all parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Because really ... all we have left are pictures and memories...


Looking forward to the next year with our sweet girls!
