GOODBYE AURORA CIRCLE

After Lynn and I got married in 2007 we lived downtown for awhile in a condo and then started searching for a house to buy. A lot of our friends were buying in High Point Terrace, a track-home subdivision that was built after WWII. Much of the neighborhood has been remodeled or torn down for new construction. Our house had only been on the market for two weeks when we found it. It was in pretty good shape when we moved in, but we knew from the beginning that we wanted to do a lot to it. Over the past few years, we have slowly remodeled the entire house. It has almost been a hobby for us.

I should say that my favorite part of this house has been the neighborhood. Most of our friends live within a few streets of us. Also, the neighborhood has its own small grocery store. It looks like something out of the 50's and has a small town feel about it. In the same area as the grocery store, we have High Point Pizza, Cheffie's- deli, High Point Pub, and a little barber shop. It's so much fun to walk there, eat on the patio, and enjoy the weather. We have also had access to the Greenline. I have been walking/running in this neighborhood for the past four years- never once scared... which says a lot in Memphis.

After much thought, we decided to start looking around for another house. With rates as low as they are and house prices about to pick back up, we thought it might be a good time to buy something else and sale our house in High Point. We looked over several months not really aggressively, but just keeping our eye out. Real Estate is probably the hardest thing that you can time perfectly, so I'm pretty sure God had His hand in this.... we bought a house and sold ours within two weeks of each other. It makes us a little sad to say goodbye to Aurora Circle, with so many good memories we will cherish forever, but very excited about..... closets, bathrooms, laundry room, garage.......... So "Fare The Well" Aurora Circle!

Scenes From Easter.....

For the past few weeks I have been planning out new dresses, thinking about cute pictures to take with the girls, and what the Easter Bunny might leave for S & S......

But ... nothing really went as planned. I started the morning off around 3:30- could not go back to sleep- got up around 6:00. Since the whole house was awake, we decided to go to the 8:00 church service, which means we had to leave our house around 7:35 to drive there, park, get out the double stroller, transfer the babies, get the stroller up any stairs and around all the gawkers, find a seat, and get situated. So, with this in mind, I scrambled around the house and got myself and two babies ready to go. Then, as the clock was striking 7:35, we were loading them up in the carseats and Sadie spits-up all over the only Spring-ish dress that had been cleaned for Easter Sunday..That is just a snippet of how my morning went....

However, our church service was beautiful and well worth the struggle to get there! Afterwards we spent the afternoon with family. First, we had a wonderful lunch at Pops and MiMi's house and then family time with Sitti and lots of cousins. Can you believe that I didn't get one picture of S & S wearing their sweet bonnets?? We did snap a few cute pics though....

I wish that I had taken a lot more pictures, but I guess there is always next time. Oh and how I missed my side of the family!! It's never the same without them!

Oh and Sadie sat up for the first time and we caught it on camera! Yay Sadie!!

Another Easter here and gone.... But praise HIM.... He has Risen!! The most important part of the weekend was in my heart!
