GOODBYE AURORA CIRCLE

After Lynn and I got married in 2007 we lived downtown for awhile in a condo and then started searching for a house to buy. A lot of our friends were buying in High Point Terrace, a track-home subdivision that was built after WWII. Much of the neighborhood has been remodeled or torn down for new construction. Our house had only been on the market for two weeks when we found it. It was in pretty good shape when we moved in, but we knew from the beginning that we wanted to do a lot to it. Over the past few years, we have slowly remodeled the entire house. It has almost been a hobby for us.

I should say that my favorite part of this house has been the neighborhood. Most of our friends live within a few streets of us. Also, the neighborhood has its own small grocery store. It looks like something out of the 50's and has a small town feel about it. In the same area as the grocery store, we have High Point Pizza, Cheffie's- deli, High Point Pub, and a little barber shop. It's so much fun to walk there, eat on the patio, and enjoy the weather. We have also had access to the Greenline. I have been walking/running in this neighborhood for the past four years- never once scared... which says a lot in Memphis.

After much thought, we decided to start looking around for another house. With rates as low as they are and house prices about to pick back up, we thought it might be a good time to buy something else and sale our house in High Point. We looked over several months not really aggressively, but just keeping our eye out. Real Estate is probably the hardest thing that you can time perfectly, so I'm pretty sure God had His hand in this.... we bought a house and sold ours within two weeks of each other. It makes us a little sad to say goodbye to Aurora Circle, with so many good memories we will cherish forever, but very excited about..... closets, bathrooms, laundry room, garage.......... So "Fare The Well" Aurora Circle!

XXOO,

KRYS
